In this episode of the iCantCU Podcast, I talk about going back to New York City for the first time in nearly a year to help Jane move into her new apartment. I also talk about finding a vendor for the Keystone Chapter of the NFB of PA t-shirt fundraiser. It has not been an easy task.
A New Job For Jane
Jane has been living with us since March 2020, while continuing to work her NYC-based pr job. Paying rent on a NYC apartment the whole time. When she landed her new job, she was told she’d need to come into the office at least two days per week.
To Work And Live In NYC
Since she’s been vaccinated, she was comfortable with that and accepted the position at the agency she interned at just two years earlier. She hoped to have a little break in between her old job and new, but only had one day, Juneteenth.
Family Style Pet Sitting To The Rescue
That got Eliz and I scrambling on what to do with Ziggy while we were driving Jane back with all of her stuff. I remembered that someone I went to high school with had a business that took care of pets. So I contacted my old classmate, Lisa, at Family Style Pet Sitting and she was able to feed Ziggy lunch and dinner and take him out in the yard to do his business and play.
DTG T-shirt Printer
With Jane moved in, I was able to get back to concentrating on the Keystone Chapter t-shirts that I designed. I need to find a vendor with a decent price to help the chapter make a couple of bucks on the fundraiser. That is going to be easier said than done. The vendor I thought we’d be using and that I got a sample shirt made had a huge price increase.
