Over 6 Hours On A Plane And Didn’t Leave The Airport
I was so excited to go to Las Vegas to attend my first National Federation of the Blind National Convention. Seven nights at Mandalay Bay. The first few days there was only a couple of events each day, so Eliz and I would get to relax for a little bit, too. That was until our travel day from hell, where American Airlines did their best (and succeeded) to keep us in Philadelphia. The funny thing about this podcast is that I recorded it after reurning hope after the ordeal, yet was still positive we were going to get to Las Vegas the next day. At the time I recorded this episode, I still believed that all the different agents for American Airlines really were empathetic and cared about getting us to Las Vegas. Now I know better.
One of the carry on bags we took with us to Las Vegas, when we eventually went, was a Burton backpack that Jane got when she was in high school. It is the best backpack that our family has ever owned. She went through countless backpacks from L.L. Bean, before trying the one from Burton. While they don’t make our model anymore, the Burton Annex is very similar. Give it or any of the other options from Burton a try. You will be happy you did. As a reminder, the link to the backpack is an affiliate link, so we earn a small commission if you buy it or anything else from Amazon when you use it. It doesn’t cost you anything by using this link and we are very grateful.
